Celebrate the International Day of Non-Violence
On this International day of non-violence/ 148th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, let us collectively proclaim to the global community the importance of non-violence and world peace in this international city of Peace and Justice.
October 1, 2017 – From 12pm onwards
- Join the Gandhi March from the Peace Palace to Grote Kerk
- Come and see the bicycle personally used by Mahatma Gandhi, coming outside India for the first time ever and get a glimpse into his inspiring life
- Witness an excerpt of the Opera titled ‘Satyagraha’ (Mahatma Gandhi’s instrument of non-violence) to be performed by the Korzo theatre. The opera has been composed by renowned musician Philip Glass
